1. Install MetaMask Extension or App
Browser Extension: Visit the official MetaMask website (metamask.io) and download the extension for your preferred browser (Chrome, Firefox, Brave, or Edge). Follow the installation prompts to add the extension to your browser.
Mobile App: Download the MetaMask app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android). Install and open the app on your mobile device.
2. Create a New Wallet
Launch MetaMask: Click on the MetaMask icon in your browser toolbar or open the app on your mobile device.
Get Started: Click on the Get Started button.
Create a Wallet: Choose the option to create a new wallet. You will be prompted to set a strong password. Make sure to use a unique password that you don’t use elsewhere.
3. Secure Your Seed Phrase
Reveal and Save Your Seed Phrase: MetaMask will generate a 12-word seed phrase. This phrase is crucial for recovering your wallet if you forget your password or lose access to your device. Write it down and store it in a secure place. Do not share your seed phrase with anyone.
Confirm Your Seed Phrase: MetaMask will ask you to confirm your seed phrase to ensure you have saved it correctly. Enter the words in the correct order.
4. Log In to MetaMask
Open MetaMask: Click on the MetaMask icon in your browser or open the app.
Enter Your Password: Input the password you created during the wallet setup.
Access Your Wallet: Once your password is verified, you will be logged in to your MetaMask wallet.
The MetaMask dashboard provides an overview of your account balance and recent transactions. You can add and manage multiple accounts, view your transaction history, and monitor your asset portfolio.
1. Sending Ethereum or Tokens
Select Account: Choose the account from which you want to send assets.
Click Send: Enter the recipient’s address, specify the amount, and select the type of asset (ETH or token). Confirm the transaction details and click Next.
Confirm Transaction: Review the transaction details and click Confirm to complete the process. MetaMask will provide an estimated gas fee and total cost.
